A
MESSAGE TO THE LISTENERS TO BRIAN PARKER’S INTERNET JAZZ RADIO
We have recently set up a new stream with 128 kbps,
which will replace the original 32 kbps, to give our listeners higher quality music.
Please contact us to share your experience.
My Internet Jazz Radio
has been on line since February 2001, and my music has always been free
to listen to.
I have financed it and run it by myself and have resisted including advertising
with my music to date.
I have enjoyed reading your questionnaires, messages & e-mails with your
requests, comments, and suggestions about my music. I am now planning to
expand 'All that Jazz Radio' to fullfill your requests by adding extra streams,
features & interviews, and hopefully a playlist, and I need to finance this
work. Please realise that I am a one man band and cannot afford to employ
anyone else unless I get an Income from my site.
From your messages etc. I feel that you prefer to pay a small subscription,
rather than have advertising on the music stream. The first stage will be
to provide a small free stream for the new listeners, to listen to some
of my music, with promos about the main stream, and to keep the main stream
as it is at present , making a charge of $4.95 a month or $39.95 a year
to have access to it. I have had some donations over the last 2 years which
I have kept to fund this expansion. All listeners that have made
a donation will be credited with the same amount against the subscriptions
to the main stream. These listeners will be notified what their
access codes and passwords will be.
The money raised from the subscriptions will be invested back into the radio
to create the new features for your enjoyment. This will enable
me to give you the playlist that you want, and purchase the new hardware
& software, necessary to be able to reload all the tracks from the main
stream onto it and give you the playlist. This will take a little
while, as there are at present over 5,000 tracks to reload and describe,
when this is complete, I will add many more tracks, further stages will
be to add my features, with interview clips and music of the artists interviewed.
I I will then create 2 more streams to give you access to my complete interviews
(like the one shown here with BB King ) both video and audio, other streams
will follow, for you to enjoy, including one with just Jazz ballads for
you to be able to relax to while you are working or reading a book.
There
will be also a membership offered to give access to these new streams at
a discount.
If you have any comments about this expansion plan, please mail me direct
