Dear Jazz lovers,
Syl Chad, our web designer and visual artist, has visited the Pinède-Gould in Juan-les-Pins, by the French Riviera, where the most famous European Jazz Festival "Jazz à Juan" takes place each summer, since 1960.
There, she took pictures of the most interesting "heritage" left there by famous Jazz musicians: unique works showing hand of artists printed in the clay,
along with their signature.
In 2000, the festival wanted to immortalize the Jazz legends,
and since 1996 molds were made for each passage of artists : impressions of the hands of Ray Charles, Sonny Rollins, Keith Jarrett, Al Jarreau, George Benson, BB King, and Michel Petrucciani, to name just a few.
The idea came from Victor Levy-Perrault, then Director of the Office of Tourism and programmer of "Jazz in Juan".
