Just wanted to say how thrilled I am to have found your station. I was 19 years old & had just returned from Guadalcanal . Had some surgery done at Corona Naval Hospital & would hitch hike into Hollywood & stand in line so I could get to sit at the bar stool nearest the stage. Nat Cole wasn't famous yet, but man he could play & s ing. I saw all the great ones there; Coleman Hawkins, Illino is Jacquette, Oscar Peterson, Andre Previn, Joe Williams, Jo e Jones & many more. What a great age it was for me. I also was fortunate to see most of t he great big bands. Basie, Kenton,Goodman, James, Ellington & the Dorsey brothers. I was i n the Marine Air Corps for 4 years. I just turned 80 & feel like 50. I listen to your stat ion every day!

We always enjoy your Jazz programs, and were pleasantly surprised to hear a bit of Spanish guitar and 'Cante Hondo' just now... but I suppose that living in Spain, it just comes naturally.
